Homework

Each child is expected to complete his/her homework and is provided with a special bag to carry their reading book, homework and diary.

Reading is so important so we want to develop a love of reading right from the start. All children are given a reading book and an important part of homework is for children to take these home to read every night with a member of the family. Family members can then write in the diary to let us know how the child is progressing with their reading.

There are also other activities that we ask children to participate in for their homework. This includes practising phonics, handwriting, spellings and lots more important tasks that will improve your child's basic skills in all areas.

Homework is a great opportunity for you to work together with your children and learn more about what your child needs to do to improve.
