No Outsiders

No Outsiders is a whole school approach to the Equality Act 2010 and the protected characteristics -  race, religion, gender identify, age, disabilities, sexual orientation and gender. The approach was developed by a local teacher who teaches in a school similar to Thornton and our feeder infant school - Sladefield - also use the approach.
The approach uses five real picture books (all found in bookstores) as a starting point for discussion and activities throughout the year.  Parents and governors have been consulted on the texts and each year we invite the Year 3 parents to view the books. Below is a list of the books per year group, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Easthope.
