8th June 2018
I hope you have all had a good week back after the holidays. I am sure you are all looking forward to Eid next week which we understand will be Friday or Saturday. Just a reminder that children should be in school on Friday if Eid is not until Saturday.
I will be celebrating myself on Friday as my son is getting married. It is very exciting and I’m really looking forward to the day.
Please, can parents also remember that children need suitable footwear—not trainers—for school and that PE kit should be in school every day. We like to take every opportunity in the summer to go outdoors and the children need a change of clothing to ensure that they can enjoy their PE lesson to the full.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Sue Simmons, Headteacher.
Many of you will have seen recent reports of children being exploited through Live Streaming over the internet. Whilst it is often thought that this affects older children, in fact, children as young as 10 have been tricked into behaving inappropriately online. If you want to know more visit:
It has useful information about Live Streaming and about how you can protect your child.
This week already we have had to contact parents in the event of an emergency only to find they have not updated their contact information. Please ensure that we have your most up to date contact information—your child’s health and wellbeing could be seriously affected if we cannot contact you and your child needs emergency treatment.
