4th May 2018
Happy Friday everyone!
I am sure you are looking forward to the long weekend coming up, especially as the weather forecast is looking really good. We have been working hard over the last few weeks in Year 2 and Year 6 preparing the children for their SATs. Thank you for supporting the children in their studies—I am sure they will do really well in two weeks time when the tests start.
We are also looking forward to the Royal Wedding, and in celebration, we will be having a RED, WHITE AND BLUE DAY ON THURSDAY 17TH MAY. Look out for a special letter coming out soon!
Have a great weekend everyone—see you on TUESDAY!!!
Sue Simmons, Headteacher.
Online security alert
It has come to our attention that a significant number of children in school are playing a game called ‘Fornite’ online., often late into the night. The parental guidance for this game is age 12 and over. This game exposes children to conversations with older children and adults which often contain swearing and other inappropriate comments. We strongly recommend that parents block this game on all devices that their children can access immediately. Online grooming is on the increase and you must Safeguard your child at all times when they are using devices that access the internet. If you need further advice about online safety please contact us.

To test your knowledge, see if you can answer two of the questions the children had to answer:
1) 17.5% of a number is 14. What is the number?
2) In a quadrilateral, one its angles is twice its smallest and another of its angles is three times its smallest. Its largest angle is four-time its smallest angle. What is the largest angle in this quadrilateral?
If your child has lost any items of school uniform please see Mrs Jackson in the reception after 10am.
Please remember to label your child’s clothing with their name and class to avoid any confusion.
