Hello everyone,

A packed newsletter this week—next week we will be having a bumper newsletter with lots of photos and articles. We hope you like it! Have a great weekend everyone—hopefully the sun will shine and we can get out in the fresh air! Spring is nearly here!

Sue Simmons, Headteacher.

The school newsletter for children, parents and

carers of Thornton Primary School.

We are pleased to announce that Thornton Primary School is now subscribed to Times Tables Rockstars! This fantastic website is a safe online platform for children to practice their times tables and compete with their classmates. The children’s usernames and passwords are the same as for Mathletics. Login to: tt.rockstars.com/login and create your own rockstar now!

Vomiting Bug

Please can we remind all parents that we have recently had lots of pupils at school with symptoms of the vomiting bug. Symptoms include vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal cramps, headache and fever. The virus is extremely infectious and therefore if your child develops any of these symptoms you must keep them off school for 48 hours. Thank you.

Book Fair

We will be having a Book Fair on Tuesday 15th to Friday 18th March. It will be held in the dining hall from 3..30-4.00pm. You can also spend your £1 book token from Book Week here.

We look forward to seeing you there.

School Trips

Children eligible for Free School Meals and children who normally have a school dinner will have a packed lunch provided for all trips, so please send dinner money in as normal. If you do not wish the school to provide a lunch on trip day you must let us know the week before so that we do not prepare a lunch for your child.
