26th February 2016

How good is your child’s attendance? I am getting very worried about the number of

absences in school, particularly for extended holidays. No absences are authorised at Thornton unless your child is sick. Please remember that every day lost from school is a lost chance to learn. More information about our attendance policy will come out to you next week—please make sure that you read and understand what your responsibilities as a parent are to make sure your child gets the best education possible.

Thank you everyone. Have a good weekend. See you all on Monday. Mrs Simmons, Headteacher.
